Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview
Important: Rent Kiye Jao operates on a NO CANCELLATION, NO REFUND policy. All payments are non-refundable once a booking is confirmed and the rental period has commenced. Please read this policy carefully before making a booking.
2. No Cancellation Policy
Once you complete your booking and payment, the reservation is final and cannot be cancelled. This applies to:
- Rental amount
- Delivery charges (₹199 for home delivery)
- COD charges (₹300 if applicable)
- Extension fees
We allocate inventory and plan logistics immediately upon booking confirmation. Cancellations would result in lost revenue and wasted resources.
3. No Refund Policy
3.1 General Rule
All payments are non-refundable once the rental period has commenced, including:
- Change of mind after booking
- Unable to use the console during rental period
- Early returns (no refund for unused days)
- Personal emergencies or unforeseen circumstances
- Delivery already completed
3.2 Delivery Charges
Delivery charges (₹199) are non-refundable under any circumstances, including:
- Customer unavailability during delivery
- Incorrect address provided
- Change of mind after dispatch
- Delivery attempt made but not completed
3.3 COD Charges
COD convenience charge (₹300) is non-refundable once delivery is attempted, even if you reject the delivery.
4. Exceptions (Refund Eligible Cases)
Refunds will ONLY be provided in the following exceptional circumstances:
4.1 Product Unavailability (Our Fault)
- We are unable to fulfill your order due to inventory issues
- Product is damaged or defective before delivery
- We cannot deliver within the confirmed timeline
- Refund: 100% of rental amount + delivery charges
- Timeline: 7-10 business days to original payment method
4.2 Defective Product on Delivery
- Product is non-functional or severely damaged upon delivery
- Must be reported within 2 hours of delivery/pickup
- Photo/video evidence required
- We will first attempt to provide a replacement (subject to availability)
- If replacement unavailable: 100% refund of rental amount (delivery charges non-refundable)
- Timeline: 7-10 business days
4.3 Duplicate Payment/Billing Error
- You were charged twice for the same booking
- Incorrect amount charged due to system error
- Refund: Excess amount only
- Timeline: 5-7 business days after verification
4.4 Service Area Restriction
- Your address falls outside our service area and we cannot deliver
- Must be confirmed before dispatch
- Refund: 100% of all charges
- Timeline: 7-10 business days
5. Non-Refundable Scenarios
No refund will be provided in the following situations:
- Change of mind after booking confirmation
- Personal emergencies or travel changes
- Found better price elsewhere
- Customer unavailable during scheduled delivery (3 failed delivery attempts)
- Incorrect/incomplete address provided by customer
- Early return of rental (no refund for unused days)
- Technical issues with customer's TV/internet (not related to rented console)
- Issues with PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, or other third-party services
- User error or misuse causing product malfunction
- Weather conditions or traffic delays (beyond our control)
6. Refund Processing
6.1 Refund Timeline
For eligible refunds, processing time varies by payment method:
- Credit/Debit Cards: 7-10 business days
- UPI: 5-7 business days
- Net Banking: 7-10 business days
- Digital Wallets: 3-5 business days
- COD: Bank transfer within 10-15 business days (bank details required)
Note: Actual credit time may vary depending on your bank/payment provider.
6.2 Refund Method
- Refunds are processed to the original payment method
- We cannot provide refunds through alternative payment methods
- Razorpay handles all refund processing
- You will receive email confirmation when refund is initiated
7. Modification and Rescheduling
7.1 Rental Date Changes
While we don't offer cancellations, you may request to reschedule your rental date(subject to availability and charges):
- More than 48 hours before: FREE rescheduling (once per booking)
- 24-48 hours before: ₹200 rescheduling fee
- Less than 24 hours: ₹500 rescheduling fee
- After delivery: Rescheduling not possible
7.2 Address Changes
- Allowed before dispatch at no charge
- Additional delivery charges may apply if new address is farther
- Not possible after dispatch
7.3 Product Changes
- Allowed before dispatch (subject to availability)
- Price difference must be paid if new product is more expensive
- No refund if new product is cheaper
8. Rental Extensions
- Extensions are NOT cancellable once confirmed and paid
- Extension fees are non-refundable
- No refund for unused extension days
9. Payment Failures
- If payment fails, booking is not confirmed
- You can retry payment within 24 hours
- After 24 hours, booking will be cancelled and inventory released
- No charges if payment never succeeded
10. How to Request Refund (Eligible Cases Only)
If you believe your case qualifies for a refund under our exceptions policy:
- Contact customer support immediately (within 2 hours for defective products)
- Provide booking ID and detailed explanation
- Submit supporting evidence (photos, videos, screenshots)
- Our team will review within 24-48 hours
- If approved, refund will be initiated within stated timeline
- You will receive email confirmation at each step
11. Dispute Resolution
If you disagree with a refund decision:
- Escalate to senior support team via email
- Provide all relevant documentation
- Final decision will be communicated within 3-5 business days
- Management's decision is final
12. Recommendations
To avoid issues, we recommend:
- Double-check rental dates before booking
- Ensure availability during delivery window
- Provide accurate and complete delivery address
- Read product descriptions carefully
- Contact support if you have any doubts before booking
- Inspect products immediately upon delivery
13. Policy Updates
We reserve the right to modify this Refund and Cancellation Policy. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Existing bookings will be governed by the policy in effect at the time of booking.
